Garry Pearson

Garry Pearson

Born raised and educated in South Africa, leaving after college with a business degree to travel around the world. After spending almost a year in Europe and Britain,we headed west to Canada on a route across North America then Japan, Australia and back to South Africa. Our stop in Canada was very intriguing and we ended up spending 13 years there, getting married and having our two daughters. I became involved in the management of a printing company (Southam Printing) ending up as GM in 1981. Not having grown up in a cold climate, the winters in Toronto became longer and colder for us and we succumbed to the irresistible climate of Southern Cal. at the end of 1983. I invested in a printing company (Anderson Lithograph) which we grew and sold in 1996. I continue to invest privately and sit and have sat on numerous boards, private and public. I currently split my time between our homes in Sun Valley Idaho and Los Angeles and enjoy an active lifestyle, both business and leisure, with my wonderful wife of 41 years, Suzie. We have two outstanding daughters, both married, who have each blessed us with two incredible grand children. Our younger daughter (a Vanderbilt Commodore) lives in London England and the older (a Princeton Tiger) lives in beautiful Sun Valley Idaho. We have yet to complete our “round the world” trip but regularly visit family in South Africa.
